Beagle is a personal planning tool. We built it to be private by design.

We do not sell your data

We never sell, rent, or share your personal or financial information with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. Full stop.

We do not look at your data

The financial figures you enter — account balances, income, expenses, scenarios — are stored in your account and are not reviewed, analyzed, or accessed by Beagle staff. Your numbers are yours.

No bank linking

Beagle does not connect to your bank accounts, brokerage accounts, or any financial institution. You enter your data manually or via CSV upload. No read access to any external account is ever requested or granted.

What we store

We store the information you explicitly enter: your email address, the scenario data you create (balances, income, expenses, settings), and standard server logs (IP address, request timestamps) for security and reliability purposes.

Blog audience measurement

We measure public blog visits and clicks into the planner using our own server, without third-party analytics or advertising cookies. A daily keyed hash of the request IP address and browser type estimates visitors; the analytics table does not store the raw IP, browser string, email, or financial data. Signed-in account information is checked only to exclude configured site administrators, and is not saved with these measurements. The daily identifier changes each UTC day, so it cannot identify a person or measure unique people across days. Reports cover the most recent 90 UTC days; older analytics records are removed when new traffic arrives. We categorize referral sources without storing referring URLs or search terms, and count 30 visible seconds as engagement rather than proof of reading. Temporary attribution to the most recently opened article stays in this browser tab for 30 minutes and helps count demo starts. Browser privacy signals and the opt-out below disable collection; older undifferentiated page-load totals remain separate.

Ask Beagle

Beagle calculates plan results and sends your question, up to six previous questions, and relevant calculated financial results and assumptions through OpenRouter to the configured AI provider to explain your plan. This applies to suggested questions as well as typed questions. We do not send your email, account identifiers, account names, or raw holdings to that provider. Any personal information you include in your question is part of that request. Chat history is held in the current browser session and clears when you reload or change plan inputs; Beagle does not save it to your account.

CSV uploads

When you upload a positions CSV, Beagle reads it to create your holdings and does not keep the file. To confirm the file is a brokerage positions export, its header row and first 20 rows are checked by an AI classification model through OpenRouter.

Zero data retention for AI

Any data Beagle sends to AI, whether your Ask Beagle questions with your calculated plan results or a sample of an uploaded CSV, goes through OpenRouter only to zero-data-retention endpoints. Neither OpenRouter nor the AI provider stores it or uses it for training. If no such endpoint is available, Beagle does not send the data.

Authentication

We use industry-standard authentication: Google Sign-In via OAuth 2.0, password hashing with bcrypt for password accounts, and short-lived JWT tokens. We do not store plaintext passwords. Password set-up and reset links are sent by email via SendGrid and expire after one hour.

Data location

Your data is stored on an encrypted server in the United States (AWS us-east-1). It is not replicated to other regions or shared with third-party analytics services.

Deleting your data

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at info@retirelyus.com. We will delete your data within 7 days.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we will notify you via the email address on your account before those changes take effect.
